Can I eat duck eggs if male and females are housed together?

Hi!! I am new to ducks and have 5 ducklings, I’m not sure if they’re male or females yet, but in a couple weeks I think I’ll be able to tell. But I was wondering if I can house my male and females together and if so is it okay to eat the eggs from them, or will they be fertile? Thank you!!

You can eat fertile eggs. They look no different than non fertile eggs except for a bullseye around the blastoderm.

Yes, you can eat them, just don't leave them out in the summer too long!
