Hey,
so I have geese and am thinking of buying turkey. The issue is due to the fact that I have chickens, ducks, goats, alpacas and yes geese, I have no space to keep the turkeys other then with the geese.
Obviously I can’t keep them with the goats/alpacas and I am reluctant to keep them with the chickens, and I keep my ducks in the dam area where turkeys can’t go, so my only option left is with the geese.
If I can’t keep them with the geese then I won’t end up getting turkeys but I just wanted to ask incase.

You might be surprised how many people keep turkeys with their goats. The problem with keeping geese and turkeys together is that turkeys need to be dry.

Way back when I had geese, my turkeys and geese free ranged in the same 2 acre area without any issues. The key is that the turkeys need lots of room and the large area was not a detriment to the geese either.

Thank you for the advice😊, I decided there’s no need to get turkeys anyway.

In case you reconsider in the future, I keep my single turkey with my chickens. He grew up with them and thinks he is one, I believe. They free-range together in the day and share a coop at night. (He's a BBW so he sleeps in straw under the chicken roosts.) We have a goose but he's only about 3 months so he sleeps inside at night still. But during the day they all range together. We've had no problems.

I very strongly suggest that you separate your lone tom from the chickens before he starts killing them by trying to breed them. Get your turkey some turkey friends. Get heritage turkeys so they will live longer.

Reasons Why You Shouldn't Keep Just One Goose

Aww how amazing! well I decided not to keep turkey BUT I’m going to keep my ducks with my geese, my ducks are about a year old and my geese are going to be a few months, will they get along? I’m getting geese this Thursday.
