I was thinking about getting some rabbits and was wondering if they can drink from a chicken waterer. I am not putting them in the same cage i just have some extra chicken waters and was wondering if i could use them.

Thanks

Nope, those can't be used for rabbits because of their head/nose/mouth size. It would be difficult for them to even reach the water properly from a narrow lipped container like the chicken waterers, and rabbits need to drink a lot. In warm weather med-large rabbits can drink a gallon a day. They need water bottles or open water bowls/crocks that can't be tipped over, or that can be secured to the cage.

eta...in a pinch, a cut out gallon milk jug will work, cut down and secured just like for chickens, but the rabbits will chew them pretty quick if they're left with them.
