Can you feed dog food to quail, or is it only cat food. Ive seen posts

I think itf its a high quality/high protein dog food..it would maybe be okay? If the main ingerdients are Meat.. Not really sure though..good question..
I'd would only give it as once in a while though..not as the main feed.

I have a dog food that I would have no problem with giving to the quail except it costs a lot more then the 30% gamebird.

That's what I was thinking. A cheap bag of dog feed is $20 for 40#. I think I give around $10 for 50# of 24% turkey feed.

I have to pay 14.99 for the 30%. For our dogs we give the hi-energy that has more of a meat base and high protein, high fat and it costs 23.00.
After looking at the ingrediant labels the quail would be happy with it too but they are just out of luck!..

I had some wheat that had to go so I feed it to my quail. They lost there little minds. They acted like they was on coke or something. It cost way to much to buy for them though & they spill most of it so I feed it to the chickens.

Dog food is dog food. Cat food is cat food. Fish food is fish food. Chicken food is chicken food, quail food turkey food, Game bird food is game bird food, etc..
All complete rations are formulated for a general genies, or spices.

Can you feed quail cat food? Yes.
Can you feed cats quail food? Yes.
Is it ok to do that? I don't know.

That's why I keep dog, cat, fish, game bird, and human rations on hand at all times.
Covering all my bases. At an estimated $24 a 50 pound, cat food is way more expensive than chicken/game bird starter.

I wish someone would tell the goats they do not need it!! I have to beat them off anytime they see us feeding the quail. We have a geriatric and a orphaned goat that is sometimes let out of the goat pen.
