Canary and Finch Food Okay for Parakeets?

Hey, so I just realized I did something dumb

The other day at a pet store I bought Canary and Finch feed accidentally, thinking it was the Kaytee parakeet food.

Is it okay to feed this to my parakeets? Or will it's ingredients harm them? I can't imagine canaries eat that differently than parakeets, but want to be safe.

Is it just seeds? Because if it’s just the seeds then yes it’ll be fine. If it’s pellets the sizing might be a bit different, and I think finches and canaries get more seeds than hookbills, but I don’t know about that.

I had finches when I first got my parakeets and I’ve only ever fed them the finch/canary feed. They are actually very picky and won’t eat some of the colored pellets etc in parakeet food.

As long as theres millet seeds they will eat it

Seeds shouldn’t be all of their diet though. They should also have veggies and pellets.

My guinea pigs and parakeets prefer parsley and kale to other veggies
