We have a large chicken pen and we have 4 chickens in it.
we also have an untrained canary who need more space since we have just moved to a new home so she has nowhere to fly around.
we are thinking of rehoming her but in the meantime I want her to be free since if the corna.
the chicken pen looks like this, could she get of the these small holes in the wire?

or would she or the chickens contract dieseases from eachother?
any help out there?

I don't know about canaries, but I do know how to test it: make a small cage of that wire, put the canary in it inside the house, wait a few hours and see. Or put a piece of that wire dividing the canary's cage into two parts, and watch to see if the canary gets through.

I have no idea whether canaries and chickens can spread diseases.

I assume the chickens would peck (and probably injure) the canary if they could reach it, so you would need to be sure there were canary-perches the chickens could not reach.

Those holes look too big. Also, I wouldn't recommend putting the canary with the chickens though, because the chickens will probably attack the canary and they might spread diseases too (like parrot disease, which both can get).
