Oooh, that's a good one. I haven't looked much into the history behind breeds, but time for me to do some research! I'd guess several breeds could be traced back to having Catholic "roots" (per say) as many early European monasteries would do farming to support their growing religious communities- it'd be interesting to do a dive into how monastic orders as a whole have directly influenced modern farming and domestic livestock breedsSo just curious how many Catholic chicken breeds there are out there.
