Where my chickens are
I read that CBD oil given to chicken orally to assist with pain relief and also help the sick bird goes painless and peacefully.
Have anyone experience in this? I would love to hear more about your experience thank you.

Over the years, I have given cannabis leaves to my chickens. They enjoy the taste and will eat the raw product when given access. While chicken brains lack the receptors for THC, they do not get high, CBD does affect chickens and other birds, delivering pain relief and also relief from stress and anxiety.

CBD is of proven value in managing a flock from pain management to anxiety that often leads to feather picking.

In my state, cannabis is legal to grow, so including a couple of plants in my cover crops for my flock is something I would definitely do.

Thank you.
It is not legal to grow it in Australia.
It is legal as pain relief for pets.
Google says that CBD oil could affect how the pet body process medication if the pet is also taking other medication for illness.
Meloxicam needs prescription where as CBD oil for pets isn't.
I will always have chickens for as long as I can care for them.
It is important to have CBD oil in my chicken first aid kits.

My sick rooster crows so much that his swollen throat does not have the rest it needs to recover. I am so want to give him a drop of CBD oil to calm him down. But I don't want it to interfere with his antibiotic.
