So I finally got my 6 week olds out in an outdoor space for much of the day. It was then when I noticed that one of my crested cream legbar cockerels has curled outward outside toes. I also noticed his comb is a different shape (many less spikes) than his hatch mate cockerel.
I've never noticed before because he was in aspen shavings for all of his life after the first week and the feet are almost the same color. He seems to move as well as all the others and nothing is odd about his behavior.
That being said, with the potential defect, would it be best to leave him out of the breeding stock? I have another CCL cockerel.
