Chick Food in PetsMart?

We ran out of chick starter feed and the feed store is really far away. Is there something from petsmart i can give my chicks instead of the starter feed? My chickies are 4 weeks old.

What ever you find to feed them, it really needs to be a temporary solution because growing babies need a balanced diet for chicks. If Petsmart is the only place you can find food for your chicks, you might have a look in the parrot section of the store. If they sell any pelleted feed, you could use that for a short period of time. Usually pelleted parrot feed is somewhere around 15%. You could always add some hard boiled egg each day to help boost up the protein levels. If you can find any Flock Raiser, of course this would be better. But you really should get some chick starter for babies. Maybe you could order some on line here and have it rush shipped.

4 week old then it sounds like it is time for turkey grow as it has 20% protein for the growing yet to be dune
