We had one chick hatch on our last attempt to incubate. She is a black chick with a headdress of black feathers in more of a mowhawk style.... She was the cross of an orange and black polish roo and possible a black sex linked or australorpe? The weird thing about her is that she not only peeps like a chicken, but, she makes all kinds of chirps, trills and other song bird type sounds! Seriously would not know she was a chicken just by listening to her! Anyone else have a songbird chick?

I was just reading along here because I also have a little Americauna chick,2-3 wks old that is trilling! Her bottom was dirty yesterday so I cleaned her and put her back in with her 3 sisters and found her almost dead this morning in the box with them walking all over her!!So I grabbed her and warmed her up and gave her a. tiny crumb of amoxicillin in some warm water and now she's up and trolling in my shirt!! Every time I speak she does!! She'll chirp and trill then stop and. just sit there with her eyes closed. I put her back with the others but she sat off in a corner and one of them is already a bully and picked at her. So now I have a shirt baby! ha! Hopefully just until she acts normal again. What do you all think?
