Hey! I was just going through different life idioms, otherwise known as English sayings. I found a bunch that were related to chickens and other barnyard birds, so I thought I'd create a thread to see if any of you have some good ones to add. Add them in the comments and I'll edit the post to include them in the main list.

Here's what we have so far:

- Birds of a feather flock together
- Don't count your chickens before they hatch
- Don't put all your eggs in one basket
- Go on a wild goose chase
- The early bird gets the worm
- You can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs
- Game of chicken
- Bushel and a peck
- Goose egg
- Sitting duck
- Kill the goose that lays the golden egg
- Running around like a headless chicken
- Chicken hearted
- In the long run

Dang, I'm such an Idiom! I've been saying "Don't count your CHICKENS" before they hatch" and been wrong all these years!

Curious what in the long run is supposed to mean
I used to hurry a lot
I used to worry a lot
I used to stay out 'til the break of day
Oh, that didn't get it
It was high time I quit it
I just couldn't carry on that way
Oh, I did some damage
I know it's true
Didn't know I was so lonely 'til I found you
You can go the distance
We'll find out in the long run
(in the long run)
