Chicken obsessed with getting on roof of my house?

It’s so weird— and it’s just her— but she’s obsessed with getting on the roof of my home (not her coop, my house) She’s constantly trying to climb things and clucking just trying to figure out how to get on there. It’s gotten her in some sticky situations. Why is she doing that and how do I break the habit?

Do you know what breed she is or what mix of breeds? It may be genetic. Do you have trees? If so, does she avoid them to focus on your roof?

Is she being hounded by a rooster or bullied by other hens? Observe her in that period before she heads for your roof. There may be clues.

What breed? My D’Uccles love to roost in my 10ft barn rafters and on the roof. I have no doubt that if I just had a regular coop they would be up at the house on my roof. They will roost in the tallest possible spot they can find.

She isn’t hounded by any others— I’ve never really dealt with bullying in my flock. There’s only 4 and they’ve established where they are. She’s a Starlight Green Egger.
No, she doesn’t avoid the trees… it’s just a weird fanatical obsession. Though, she also does try and get into the house.
It’s just her, too. None of my other chickens are like this.
