Chicken Playing Tic-Tac-Toe

Did anybody else hear the story about the chicken on KERA? It was about this person, who tried to save people from death row. Of course you aren't supposed to execute crazy people- and he seemed crazy, saying his mother lived in a coca-cola can, but they claimed he was sane because somebody went in there and played tic-tac-toe with him, and he won. The person trying to save the crazy person (don't remember her name), had seen a tic-tac-toe playing chicken at the fair when she was a little girl, and so she found a tic-tac-toe playing chicken to prove the people that just because he won didn't mean he wasn't crazy. Then I messed it up (it wasn't really live, but about twenty minuites back), and so I don't know what happened...anybody else hear this story? Crazy, huh?

Chickens can't play tick tack toe. They are trained to peck when a little light lights up and they get food. So either a person is playing, or a computer is playing and it lights up the square that the chicken needs to peck.

Back when they had tick tack toe and piano playing chickens, there were no computers, but someone was directing the chicken which square to peck.

I, for the life of me, can't see where tick tack toe has anything to do with sanity or insanity. I'd say it is proof of nothing.
