Would me building a run for two or three hens just like this one I found on the web be sufficient enough for them?

And does the run need to be 6ft tall? Can I just keep the height to about 2ft tall?
Being able to walk in to a coop and run to clean it makes life so much easier. You would not want to have to crawl in poop to clean it.

What's your weather like?

I see 5 "access areas" if you are on your hands and knees. I'm not that young anymore.

Skip the fancy stuff, make it tall enough to walk in, one door big enough for you, and a solid roof. Less cutting, less material, ultimately cheaper (except the hardware cloth), and you will certainly be happier. Also, supportive of "chicken math".

A 2x4x8, pressure treated, will run you about $4.25 right now. 12 of them will build you an 8x8x8 cube - $35 plus $10 in outdoor deck screws. That will offer 3x the space, you can walk in it, and put lots of fun things inside it - like more chickens. Another $15-20 and you have roof framing for a covered run - you've not posted your location, but if you are in Florida (me), TX (Kiki) or anywhere in the US south, that shade will be critical for the sumer months.

Roof covering costs can vary substantially, but you are probably looking at at least $150 to cover an 8x8 with some overhang all around, after accounting for screws and the rest.

and if you are anywhere much north of Virgina, that roof will make your run area useful when that white ____ starts piling up.

the question then is simply what to do about the sides. The sides are where all your expense is

It's still woefully narrow regardless. OP, I believe you've posted mini coops and runs several times, all about the same size. 18 sq ft will never be enough for anything more than maybe 2 Seramas at best. Do you not have room for anything larger?

That's about 18 square feet.

Run size should be about 10 square feet per bird.

Coop size should be about 4 square feet per bird.
It would be 18 square feet but you forgot to multiply the .58 by .15 feet. I am not trying to sound rude at all just reminding you. If you did find this offensive or rude I am deeply sorry. I just do not want you take this the wrong way. Kiki:

I didn't forget to.
It's ok, not rude just not worth it, in my opinion,
