Hi. My chicken is a 4 month old Colombian rock cross. She was fine yesterday but today I found her hiding and lethargic. In this kind of a scenario I would assume is coccidious and treat with Corid. However when I picked her up, I accidentally tipped her and yellow drool dribbled out. That made me think sour crop.
I intentionally tipped her a few minutes later and she vomited a good amount of yellow. But it doesn’t smell.
I’m treating with apple cider and monostat cream.
Can anyone give me some guidance or confirm if I’m treating for the right thing.?

Welcome To BYC

It may be Sour Crop that you are dealing with. The 2 articles below are very good at guiding you through treatment. Choose 1 treatment and follow through.

Keep in mind that often a crop problem is just a symptom of an underlying condition or illness. Worms, Coccidiosis, Infection and/or reproductive disorders are a few things commonly seen when a crop is not functioning well.

It would be a good idea to get a fecal float to rule out worms and Coccidiosis as being part of the problem.
