Hi,
Looking for some advice. One of our bantam hens' legs is hurt. She's the smallest chicken in the flock, and we suspect that her foot got caught in the mesh flooring of the coop, and then she hurt it while trying to get it out. We found her hopping around on one leg, her tail was a bit droopy. After a few days she was still hopping around on one leg, so we decided to separate her from the flock, so she could rest without being pestered by the other chickens. This was about two weeks ago. Yesterday/today she isn't doing well at all. She hasn't been eating, she's got a bit of runny poop, and she just stays in her little carrier not interested in anything at all. She was breathing quickly last night. Her leg hasn't improved. We're not sure what's wrong with her leg, she's a bit sensitive when we touch the joint, but doesn't mind us moving her leg, but she cannot put any weight on it.
Any ideas how to help/heal her? Thanks!
