Recently when viewing my chickens I've noticed one of my 4 year old girls displaying some issues, when she would eat or drink most of the time she would then start honking and looking like she was choking and breathing weirdly. And this morning at 8:20 she was still laying down with her eyes half closed, looking at me some but then closing her eyes again. I have also just noticed that her nose seems to be runny and that she's lost a bit of weight. I'm not currently home so I couldn't examine her fully but I did get a video of her after drinking water, any clues of what she might have? She's the only chicken doing this so far. What medicine should I try giving her? When I left the house this morning she still had not moved so im worried about her, I wish I could've stayed home but I couldn't. If shes still alive when I get home im guessing I should seperate her? If any more info is needed I'll try providing to the best of my abilities.

I get home around 4 pm so I will definitely check to see how she's doing, hopefully fine and will be out and about but chances are she might be lethargic the whole time. I'll update again when I get home. Does anyone have any clues of what might be ailing her or should I get some pictures of her and her fecal when I get home?

I would definitely separate her. The honking might be a sneeze. Have you noticed some crusting around her nostrils? Is her breathing labored? Any bubbles appearing in her eyes?

I'm sure the experts will chime in soon but it never hurts to add photos of poop and her current condition.

I just got back home, she's alive but still lethargic. I don't see any nostril crust but her breathing is labored, she mostly is just breathing heavy but sometimes starts mouth breathing so that isnt the most pleasant sign. I also don't see any bubbles around her eyes although she won't open one of them at all.
As for fecal it looks mostly normal, I can't get a good look yet though. I'll try to get better photos of her poop later when I move her inside.
Any ideas of what to give her before I get medication? I want her to live long enough in order to get her medication but she's definitely not looking too good.

She just got up and she just drank a little but I got a better view under her and I don't think this poop is normal.

Yikes. I would say not. I'm so sorry! Hopefully someone will help you soon. It wouldn't hurt to keep posting to keep your thread active until someone with more experience can offer advice. Hang in there! It's good she's drinking water.

While waiting for a proper diagnosis, do you guys think I should try giving her an Epson salt bath? Or do you guys think that's a bad idea? I don't know what is ailing her but I want to do everything I can before I get that answer
