Chickens Ate Chocolate...help!

This afternoon when my mom came home from grocery shopping she brought some chocolate chip cookies. My little brothers, 5 and 3, went outside to help unload the groceries when the chickens came up and snatched the cookies right out of their hands. I think my flock (5 hens) ate about 2 and a half inch piece of chocolate cookie between all of them, but is it going to make them sick?
I'm not sure if it is the same thing as it is with dogs, but I'll admit I am kind of worried about them. They aren't acting funny or anything, but do I need to give them any special thing to eat or something? When I snatched a crumb of cookie from the hen flock master Josefina, she ran over to the van and jumped inside of the trunk, tearing through the grocery bags. Hysterical! I figured they must be hungry so I fed them all a huge bowl of laying mash.

Thanks.

I dont' think there is anything you can do. Hopefully they did not eat enough chocolate to cause harm. Feeding them the laying mash was a good idea. Do keep a close watch on them for the next day. Try to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Wishing your chickens do well.

Chocolate is poisonous to almost all animals, and chickens are one of them.
A little chocolate shouldn't effect them in anyway, especially a strong system built. If their healthy,a little chocolate won't bother.

Any sugar is bad for chickens. It's not even good for us,but we eat still.

Ok. Thanks for your help. l'll keep a close eye on them tomorrow.

What about a 11 day old chick who ate like 3 crumbs from a thin mint accidentally
