I was hammer tacking some new chicken wire when one staple fell and a hen of mine had it in her mouth. I rushed to get it out but she instinctively ate and swallowed it.
As I was focused on her another hen went around and did the same thing. My luck.
The staples they swallowed were ARROW T50 1/2” staples.
I tried to induce both of them to vomit, but no luck. I have separated them to see if they pass them but I’m losing hope.
What can I do? I need to ensure they try and pass it because I don’t want them to have a punctured crop and slowly suffer. I have seen some people feed molasses to speed up digestion, I’m thinking that’s my next move.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
