We live on a lake, well kinda. We live on a lot that has 10 feet to the lake, walkway is about 100 ft from house to the water. Do I need to be concerned about them drowning? Maybe a silly question, but I wasn't sure

I can offer this: I have a very small garden pond in my backyard and have never lost a chicken to drowning. They come right up to the edge and drink out of it! ANd I've seen one fly over it because she was too lazy to walk around. Hope someone has a more experienced answer than me for you!
What I would keep in mind though is cleanliness and where the coop is situated especially if that lake is drinking water for you or your neighbors. We live on our towns drinking water source and I just make sure that my pens are a long way from the waters edge
