Chickens not venturing into run

Hi!! We just finished the run for our chickens but they aren’t using it. Is there a special way to train them to venture out of the coop during the day? They have been inside the coop for the last three weeks. The run is completely enclosed and we even have an automatic door installed that opens at daylight and closes at night.

They just aren't used to it yet, they'll go out, just give them time. You could try giving treats and see if that will coax them out

Chickens hate change, just give them time. One will roam out there and the next thing you know they will all be out there.

You will have to make sure nobody gets locked out for the first few nights. Once they do venture out.

Agree with the rest, chickens don't enjoy change. One day you will look out and they will all be out there enjoying the chicken life. How old are they?
