Has anyone here heard about the hens in Bode, Iowa?

The egg farm is giving 140,000 chickens away for free, whatever chickens don't find homes will be killed, and the killing
has already begun. If you are willing to take some of these hen,s here is the farm's address and phone number:

Yawn, sounds more like nut jobs trying to get people to gather for a "protest". Had a bunch of these idiots show up at my buddy's farm over a post like this. They (mainly peta type supporters) made a stupid post so people would show up in a huge group when nothing was even going on. Once there was a huge group "protesting" they started calling news groups.

I agree, it’s a bunch of Darned PETA activists, if I lived there, I’d pick up some hens to feast on some pot pie! Just to show them! I mean, I’d take some layers too! But man, these activists are CRAZY! They want to destroy all of animal raising and ag in The USA. I guess we’ll all just have to get rid of our animals if this All this Activist stuff around the country keeps on! Someone needs to go pick up some meat hens.

Bode is basically my hometown, and I assure you that there are free chickens.

They are 1-2 yo, hyline white breed. They've lived in cages all their lives. They are small chickens which lay xl eggs. They are not used to sunshine, competing for food, etc. They have long nails and need to be basically rehabbed to live like a normal chicken.

A friend of mine picked up 400... She currently has a backyard egg business. You can take as many as you want.

Naw, his step father is a retired cop in this county. We will just say it didn't go very well for the idiot protesters. They started to show up, met enough southern gun owner supporters with police there giving out trespassing charges and parking tickets like tic tacs. Lasted about 15 minutes before they called it off and high tailed it back up north.

I have some ocean front property in Arizona for sale.

Think I might throw a nice fat chicken on the grill later today. Heck I have a cow I might take to the butcher and enjoy a big steak in a day or two in both ya'lls name. In ya'lls honor I might even donate some of my evil farm meat to the local homeless shelter. I'm sure the hungry people there will turn it down just like they always do.

Yeah well, I'd join you for the steak. But if you've ever been to Bode, IA, then you'd know it's a tiny little town with a bar, a co-op, and a little convenience store. It's also in the middle of large grain farming. Very rural.

I joined today but have been lurking and learning. I finally had real knowledge to share so I joined. I think it's Olson egg farm on Facebook. The owners are Tom and Julie Olson.
