Cochin bantams from Hoover

I've had Cochin bantams before but this one is odd ...behaves like a pullet allows cockerels to do what they do but looks like a cockerel to me.

How old? That's way too much comb to be female. He could be the lowest ranking cockerel.

Agreed... I don't see saddle feathers yet, but I would be shocked if that was female. Also because of comb size for this breed. My black ladies usually have beautiful sheen like that too.

Looks like the one has some good sized comb sprigs too... I wouldn't use that one if planning to breed...

Looking like a cockerel at this point. He's most likely at the bottom of the pecking order, which could be why he's so mellow.
