Hey chicken people!
So I have a bit of a mystery going on here with my flock. A little backstory: I have an older Easter egger (a little over a year old) who's been laying pretty well. I bought a batch of mixed breed chicks this spring and I got another colored egger (I think she's a bit of a hybrid because she doesn't quite look like any colored eggers I've seen... Almost like the feather colors and pattern of an easter egger, but really slim and sleek). As well as the hybrid egger, I got a couple of what I think are golden comets and maybe a Rhode island red. But where the mystery comes in is now that they're laying... Not only am I getting my Easter egger egg every day, but now I'm getting not just one more tiny colored egg, but often 2 or 3 more! And they all seem to be slightly different shades of pale greenish blue. I guess my question is this: is it normal for a newly laying colored egger to lay multiple eggs in a day or is there such a thing as a chicken breed that looks like a golden comet or similar that lays colored eggs?
