Has anyone combined these two coops and runs from TSC? Just trying to figure out the best way to connect them and still keep it predator proof. Would love to see photos!

Might connect with a tunnel as the roof overhang on the coop/run would be tough to get tight to the run.

Please do not believe the capacity stated in those ads.
Most likely cut that capacity in half.

Hard to see the size of the mesh openings, but you're probably going to need to add 1/2" Hardware Cloth everywhere. The coop portion of the coop/run combo likely needs more ventilation.

Oh, and...... Welcome to BYC! @McGill
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

Thanks! We've already bought both of them and the coop has been set up for about a month now. We did indeed cut more ventilation holes and we have hardware cloth everywhere. We are in the city limits but our property backs up to a creek and we have seen foxes, raccoons, possums, in our yard. We have a bullmastiff and that seems to keep them out of the backyard pretty good. But still want to be safe!

I like the idea of a tunnel rather than a direct connection. Would you recommend making that out of plywood or hardware cloth?

Smart! Would it be hard to clean out do you think? Or just rake it out when I do my usual cleaning?
Depending on how long it ends up being, I'd make sure you have full access to it.
Cleaning<shrugs> depends on what kind of bedding you use whether it ever needs to be 'cleaned'.

I don't have a current picture but this gives an idea.

I just left off the door on the coop run and one whole side of the pen. Then filled in with hardware cloth and when I was waiting for more to come in the mail used chicken wire on the sides to close the gaps.

Also didn't use the included "egg boxes" that get constantly pooped on. Bought a metal egg box set up with roll away area.
