Concern with cameo Peafowl

Never heard of any mental problems with cameos, only aggression problems with a few other peafowl (my midnight Blackshoulder male is relentless at times, but I see this as an isolated issue).

Most of the Cameo's that were passing along the blind genes has since been destroyed or no longer used to breed with. Although occassionally a breeder who isn't aware of what his birds are producing will still breed and sell the problem has been dealt with by responsible breeders. I own a trio of Cameo w/e and there is nothing wrong with them. They are at least 3 years old now.

McMurray peachicks? Wow,price ranges from $38-$72 per peachick and thats with an 8 peachick minimum order. I don't charge $72 for a 1 year old pea,,but it's easy to make sales when you can point to an extremely high posted price on the internet.

I just sold 2 -1 yr old pairs, one was Opal b/s and the other was Midnight b/s for $250 for all 4 birds. Considering McMurray don't even have either of these colors listed, wonder what they value peachicks at from both these colors? See they don't list Bronze or BSSP either, just pieds. So is Opal,Midnight,Bronze and BSSP rarer than their rare colors? I did see a reference on facebook the other day someone was selling bronze peachicks for $200 each,,,the floodgates are opening up now.

Yeah I know but since they don't tell you what they're sending you , you have to " Recommend " the breeds you'd like .

But I'm getting my opals from Bow's hatchery which I see as reasonably priced ( they don't even sell cameos though :he :hit
