First time posting and not sure if this is the correct forum. We received our 6 silkies and for the first few days they all had really bad pasty butt. We quickly corrected what we were doing and stopped the medicated feed after 1 day and started on the probiotics about a week later. Most of them have cleared up. We are only cleaning 2-3 a day now. I have watched them poop so I know nothing is blocking the vent. However I have a couple that looked feathered in the rear and a few that don’t. I have attached a picture of our worse one. Please let me know what we are doing wrong. Thank you

Here is my opinion.
I don't think pasty butt is a result of Medicated feed. I also don't think Probiotics is the solution. Not sure what probiotics you are administering, But a little bit of yogurt is probably OK.
Pasty but can be caused by ambient temperature being slightly higher than Ideal.
Many people treat pasty butt, by cleaning up, and applying some petroleum jelly to area. (Vaseline)
This way the gumdrops don't have tendency to stick to the vent .

Thank you for the advise. We put her (assuming) bottom in water last night and she looks much better today and her feathers seem to be looking back to normal
