Connecticut!

Hi everyone!

I am from Killingly CT, and I have been volunteering on a farm in East Haven CT.

I wanted to reach out and see if anyone would be interested in rehoming three cockerels? 🐓

The cockerels are brothers so we would like to try and keep them together. They will be coming from a farm, Healing by Growing Farms, which provides therapeutic care. So, we would like them to go to a home where they will be pets.

Having the proper space and conditions for them will be best for an easy transition into their new home. Also, Healing by Growing Farms will provide comprehensive training to new owners on caring for a pet chicken.

Important Note: The farm is located in CT and is able to deliver them to their new home within the state.

If you have any questions or know of a good home for these lovely guys, please let me know and thank you 🙂

I am looking to add two heritage breed Barred Plymouth Rock pullets to my mostly retired small flock. I would prefer to purchase them from a farm that vaccinates their chicks, rather than feed store or hatchery due to quality and order minimums. I am from RI, located near the Massachusetts and Connecticut border and will be posting there as well. Is anyone aware of a breeder that sells pullets like this? Also, I can only keep hens, so I will not be able to take or keep any bird that turns out to be a rooster.

We have yet to find a new home for these three amigos.

So, I was wondering if anyone had any information or guidance on ordinances in Killingly CT concerning roosters?

I understand that roosters are normally prohibited but I am wondering if a change could be made to an ordinance to include therapy support animals?

Just letting Connecticut know anyone looking for 17-week-old chickens Benedict's in Monroe has red sex links right now first come first serve $25 each they also have pre-order for a red sex links for August and September and October there was one for the blue Lane azure hens but that already closed up!!!! They are great birds I get them every year at a good price and you know that they are pullets, all the work is taken out since they're already 17 weeks old you know that you're not buying an old chicken they're vaccinated and everything definitely worth it!!!!
