Coop finally done!

After a month and a half I’m finally done with my first coop!
Took me twice as long as I thought it would and cost a lot more in materials than I would have believed but I think it turned out pretty cool.
Built from a design I saw on google.

Looks nice, I like the storage/nest cubby. Where's the ventilation for the coop portion?

It's beautiful, but needs more ventilation high up near the roof to keep a good flow of air that will remove heat and ammonia.

Lol roofing was done like that because that’s the roofing I had on hand at the moment and I didn’t have enough to chop it up to run the other way. I was worried about standing water on the roof but after the last rain there was none and most of the water sheds off to the sides which is better since the ground slopes towards the front of the coop and if it all shed off to the back I’d have one heck of a mud pit in there.

I really wanted to buy these but, free vs $120...

Most of the ventilation is at the roof line. There’s a 1 1/4” x 48” space from the roof at front and back and openings on the roof ridges at the sides. So about 148 square inches of open ventilation. But now that I’m thinking about it that is only like 1sf, I’ll add some more vents.

Since I'm in a hot climate I decided that my ventilation was adequate when I could put my head and shoulders into the coop and it wasn't any warmer inside it than outside it.
