Hi! Can anyone suggest a good resource for coop plans? We’ve tried so many and bought several and once we get them they’re just over the top. We want to build a coop for 10-12 chickens, lean to style, with a run attached. I would love any ideas, suggestions etc. we chose the lean to style because we we don’t want to deal with a a pitched roof and potential leaking. We live in rainy Florida so I am thinking avoiding areas for leaks is important. Thanks in advance!!

I can’t help with the plans part but I can attach a picture of my coop to maybe help you. I have an issue that I don’t draw out what I’m building, I just build it. The coop is currently winterized which explains the plastic sheets in the sides of the run, they slide out in the spring. My coop is attached to my detached garage and blends in with the garage.

Maybe just look at the design/ guide for a lean-to.

For Florida I would go with almost all hardware cloth sides (so NOT a wood box), but have shutters or something similar to put upfo4 hurricane season.

And yes, huge eves are an excellent choice.

With hot weather, and with lots of rain, a roofed run is wonderful.

Picture for inspiration: (yeah, I know it isn't a shed/lean-to roof.... but it is a great mostly hardware cloth coop)
