I posted here a while back about using Egglettes, to hard boil without peeling. Since then, my husband bought me this kitchen contraption from Copper Chef, for preparing hard boiled, soft boiled, poached, etc. eggs.
I've only used it to hard boil so far, but wow, a huge difference! The shells are very easy to peel!
This unit can hard boil 14 eggs at a time, or fewer. I wash the shells, poke a tiny pin hole in the shell with the provided tool, set them on a plastic holder, that holds them with the pinhole facing up, add a measured amount of water to the burner tray, install the vented cover, and hit the power button.
The unit boils the water underneath the eggs, and shuts off automatically when done.
The eggs have always come out perfectly hard boiled, and easy to peel.
There are instructions for preparing them in different ways, which mainly used less water for soft boiling, for instance. I will follow up this post with a photo of my appliance.
Happy chickens!!
