Hi! I would like to vaccinate my 9 chicks for Coryza before they are let out in the spring. My last chickens had it and not sure where it came from. All posts ive read about this are from years ago. Just trying to find a place that sells it. Thanks! I keep my chickens as pets.

Google for vaccines - some veterinary supply like First State or Jeffers may have it. You will want to research to make sure vaccination is what you want to do. Contacting your State Vet Diagnostic lab, they may have more information for you as well.

Its either vaccinate them or letting them get sick. Their mother has had it last spring. There's no way in the world I am culling her. They will all be mine to keep as pets only.

Twitchy Bee. You might want to consider purchasing sulfadimethoxine or sulmet to treat coryza if it pops up in your flock. It used to be that either could be bought over the counter, but now a prescription is required. It'll be cheaper than buying vaccines.

Just for your information; it's possible birds with coryza may also be infected with mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) at the same time. A necropsy would be necessary with the sickest bird to determine what diseases are present.

Right now I have tylan 50 on hand. I found that on Amazon. It worked amazingly with my hen. The vaccines are way too expensive for free range chickens. At any time they could get attacked by a fox, coyote, hawk, etc. I just want to be prepared before I let them out permanently.
