My most active 3 months old chick today coughing, her neck jerking and with it some liquid splash out. It seem to have some problem in her throat as she is opening her mouth and seem little weak. My brother told she swallowed a long hair and he tried to pull half of it out but rest was so deep in her neck that it broke in between from then she was jerking but now acting weird.

How to save her?

Try breathing to her mouth but open her mouth carefully. Give her a gentle CPR lay her down gently and give her a gentle CPR. or let her drink water or a type of medicine to cure her up

Oh sad Newcastle is deadly but being a avian behaviorist coughing is not always Newcastle .
NDV is viral infection most likely to happen when weather change .
Also there's a terminator called viral terminator which we give here in India for Newcastle . also we have been looking to chickens who have Newcastle and give plenty of garlic with Basil & neem leafs . and double vitamins we see miraculous change in health all chickens doing fine

Fascinating Saaniya! I had been feeding my sick chicken (that seemed to be suffering from worms perhaps) chunks of garlic and yogurt with olive oil. And yes, I gave her Nutri Drench (a vitamin supplement) and she miraculously healed from her ailment. I will add basil to my health remedies!

Garlic and all herbal plants are very helpful
