I have seen posts here asking about Country Hatchery or its whereabouts. Actually, its owner does not do a bonafide business. In 1997 he was running a business by the name of Blue Ribbon Chickeries, Wewoka Oklahoma. I saw their advertisement in a wildlife journal and placed an order for a pair of Ruffed Grouse and a pair of Prarie Chickens. They received the payment (US$775) and then disappeared. Thereafter I traced Doctor Dennis P Smith the owner of Blue Ribbon Chickeries and at that time he was running a new business by the name of Country Hatchery. I asked him telephonically and through a legal notice to refund my money but he refused. I filed a complaint with White Collar Crime Centre but their response is still awaited. I do not know what to do with this now. All these facts are verifiable on the net. Anyone can search the net and find out about Dr, Dennis P Smith, and his businesses.

There was a Country Hatchery many years back that was in Ohio and did only Muscovy ducks. I ordered my original birds from them. Got 5 of each color and they were great birds. I was told that he went out of business and sold off his stock and retired a few years back I was bummed because I would have loved to order another batch this year.

Sorry to hear about your experience though that is horrible. I hope you get your money back soon.
