Crap all over her back

She'll dust bathe and it'll dry off and disappear eventually. Sounds like she was sleeping under someone on the roost.
I have a rooster that has that happen. Apparently he doesn't like the change of a different coop/roost/girls and sleeps on the ground below them and gets pooped on Lol.

This is really nasty but one of my chickens came out of the coop this morning with crap smeared all over her back? Any easy suggestions to get her clean without giving her a bath? A wet paper towel hasn't worked either.

Just scrape as much off as you can...otherwise she'll take care of it.
This happens pretty frequently here, I don't worry about it.
Unless it was a huge and really juicy poop, leave it be.

Happens here too. No poop boards as we have ladder style roosts. If it’s bad/wet/especially stinky and on a favorite bird, my tween decides it’s bath time in the utility sink followed by a blow dry and fluff treatment. The chickens like the blow dry treatment and completely sit still, whereas it’s a good thing the utility sink is deep.
