To my knowledge, that is correct. I have never seen Cuckoo in the US. Many years ago, I had an accident involving a Cuckoo Marans rooster and a Salmon Faverolle hen. I only hatched a couple of girls, but they were all built like Faverolles and colored like Cuckoo Marans. No leakage on the females. I'm sure the males would have. Perhaps you could work on breeding your own?
Where did you find the White Faverolles?I recently discovered faverolle chickens and all the different kinds. After looking at the different color varieties, I was especially drawn to the cuckoo faverolles and have been considering buying some. I ran into a problem though---NO ONE (that I can find) is selling them! I've looked at countless hatcheries but they all sell just salmon and/or white ones. Does anyone know where I can find some? Any and all input is much appreciated!
Funny. WHy would she think they are splash? HOw rare are white faverolles?
Because she's working with Blue Salmon, and I've never seen one in person. They are quite rare in the US, from what I know.
Oh, I could understand the confusion. HOw many varieties of Faverolles are there? I thought there was only Salmon and White. WHat is a BLue Salmon faverolle?
