Had a hen, she was 2-3 years of age. (Polish) My only polish, as it was a rehome of a batch of a lady who gave up (due to predation).
She did great, was actually top hen (Mean lady, to other hens GREAT with humans).
About two days ago, she stopped walking. I checked the crop, nothing abnormal, checked her brown eye and everything seemed normal. Brought her inside (quarantine is currently full with incoming chicks.) She at first would not move, layed down about two days... googled a lot and fed her watery scrambled eggs... (Wouldn't eat or drink) and today she would not even open her eyes and just laid there limp... Decided to save her suffering.
Anything I could do to prevent this in the future, any ideas what caused it? All other hens look normal and fine.
Thanks
