The tests they use are completely unreliable. A few years ago one African nation was using PCR tests on rocks and vegetables and they all came up positive for covid

Better to sacrifice a single flock than risk continuing to spread this horrible disease.

The flu typically has an extremely low lethality rate, and only the extremely sickly and/or elderly ever die from it. Killing healthy chickens that may have been exposed to something stops natural immunity from ever developing. Mass euthanization is the exact opposite of a rational response

If there is a new strain of avian influenza out there, which I doubt, the healthy response would be to completely ignore it so survivors have immunity. Mass euthanization is cruel, stops immunity from developing, and creates more mass euthanization in the future. It's completely nonsensical

This isn't Covid, this isn't Africa, I doubt if the bird flu tests are made in China and if they are I wouldn't doubt they have tested the tests.

Despite you willingness to through the weak and elderly under the bus I doubt you would be willing to let the CDC pen up Ebola patients in your back yard and trust in natural immunity.

Not sure if anti vax propaganda will do well on this forum but it will be entertaining to see if it floats. Me, I take the vaccines, am fine with people not taking them, but an infected flock properly tested by the flock owner's vet needs to be put down in my opinion. Those with flocks running around need to consider their neighbors when we have virulent disease impacting everyone. Just my opinion, you can have another, I do not care.

I'm speaking against the senseless murder of healthy animals

Saying that a visibly healthy animal must be killed because it tested positive for an invisible substance in it's blood is the 21st century version of burning witches

Killing healthy animals is wrong. Killing sick animals is wrong. Killing should only be the last resort for terminally ill and suffering animals. Killing 70,000 chickens at a factory farm because of a PCR test is madness and shouldn't be supported

Any system that recommends mass murder should be considered broken

Regardless of our personal opinions, reporting dead birds is the law and I believe we should adhere to it for the benefit of the community.
