So I have a a handful of eggs in the incubator with around 6 days to go until hatch… I have wanted to use broody hens for raising chicks for a while, but I have not gotten the chance till now…

I’m wondering if it’s better to let the eggs hatch under the broody hens or if I should let them hatch in the incubator and introduce after dry?

I’ve introduced goslings to geese at night when they’re sleeping in nest and thought maybe I should go that route with the chicks.

Either way can work fine.

I have done that with chickens on several occasions, and it worked more often than not.

So if you already feel comfortable with that, because you have done it before with geese, then it would probably be a good choice with the chickens too.
