Ive got 2 feeders that im gona replac at the deer lease this year, the hogs & bears are tearing them up too bad. But they will be good enough to use in the chicken pen. When i fill it up with corn (roughly 200 lbs) it will last me about 3 1/2 wks. Now i throw ALOT of corn ,normally 6-8 second run time 3 times a day.

since chicken feed, whether it be cracked corn, scratch grain, all flock, or mini layer pellets . are all of different size than whole corn im used to how long do yall set yall feeders for? And how long do u get out of 100 lb roughly.

currently im going thru 100-120 lbs of feed monthly. I have been letting them eat 24/7, and thats how ive done it the last 6 yrs. Currently have 4 layers, a rooster, 5 pullets & a cockerel, 13 2 month olds, and 5 ducks..

**EVERYONE ** gets all flock, with oyster shells on side. And i also mix in a sack or two of mini layer pellets. My curre feeders, 2 hold 50 lb & the big one holds over 100.

I'm not sure about your questions as I don't have a large flock, but wanted to comment on this.
Are you feeding them just corn? If not, why are you filling an entire feeder full of corn? In a nut shell, feeding such a large amount of corn is a recipe for disaster. Just not a good idea unless your asking for fatty liver disease.

Please look at last sentence.

The feeders are filed full of corn during deer season, as im allowed to hunt over bait.

im now wanting to put chicken feed thru them And use them on the farm instead of in the woods hunting… Unless your familiar with deer feeders u wouodnt understand

Each one has a 30° slope so feed always funnels into the trough
