Does anyone have a minature or Christmas village collection? If so I'd love to see it.
My mom had one and I started my on in the early 2000s. I stopped for a few years but got back into it this past Christmas.
Come post some photos, make display suggestions, and product suggestions too.

What is your backdrop made of Janie? Love the little lights in the night sky!
Its not really a backdrop. It was in the kitchen, so we waited until dark to take photos, and then my daughter edited out anything showing in the background. The lights are fairy lights strung from the ceiling.

Very clever, I was imagining maybe something painted black with the lights attached. Your way is better :D

I know there are some village collectors here, on byc, and I will find you. I'm going to post a picture a day, along with any information that I have on the piece.

The piece in the foreground is called Olde Towne Fountain. It was introduced by Victorian Village Collectibles in 2002.
I believe that Christmas Streets Collectibles were made in the same factory. I don't have anything to base that on, other than the fact that so many of their pieces are the same.
The set of carolers shown are from dept 56. This 3pc set is called Caroling through the City and is from the Christmas in the City collection. It was produced from 1991 to 1998.

I love the elderly lady in the set, but the lighting in this picture makes her look a little like Fred Flintstone's mother. It must be her Coty Airspun Facepowder giving her that orangie tint. 🤣

Love that set Janie! The characters look like something out of the '40s maybe?
I try to keep all of my characters to a 40s to 50s era, but I have some victorian era people that I've collected here and there.
I think I'm going to make a sign this year "A Victorian Christmas in the Park" and then I can use all my victorian era people too.
I'm planning to make the park the center piece of the village.
I'm also considering doing a parade through the village. I might make a float, or two, if my imagination, and skills, can handle it, and I'll buy a marching band.
