Depluming Mite Infestation?!

Fall 2020 two of my hens had a hard molt, while one lost feathers around her neck.
The two hens who hard molted, grew their feathers back like normal, within a few months.

However, my featherless necked hen didn’t grow her feathers back. In fact, she lost a bit more around her wing shoulder, and oil nub near the tip of her tail.

I used DE in the winter, since it is too cold to spray with Manna Pro Poultry Protector, to treat any lice or mites. Still no improvement.

A different hen, who didn’t molt, started to have the exact same problem as my featherless necked hen….It has been 8 months and these two hens have STILL NOT GROWN THEIR FEATHERS BACK!

What should I do?!! I have heard about using Ivermectin….Please HELP! No one has helped me before…. I would really appreciate anyone’s advice or help!!!

One of my hens, I noticed a few days ago, had lice or mite eggs on her feathers, so I’ve started spraying my whole flock with Manna Pro Poultry Proctector.

Depluming mites do not respond to the same treatments as other mite or lice treatments. Ivermectin topical is recommended by several links. The 5mg per ml pour on dosage for chickens is 0.1 ml per every 2 pounds of weight put on the back of the neck over the spine. Repeat in 14 days. Don’t use eggs for at least a week after treatment.

Someone I know uses that, by putting in their chicken’s water, and doesn’t have lice

tractor supply has the invermectine. I do not know how to apply it.
