My chicken Henrietta was attacked by my dog. It was an accident and I never EVER let the dogs out with the chickens (except this time).

She is healing well, but she will NOT eat. I tried opening her beak and putting food in but she spat it out. She collapses every time I set her down, and she always closes her eyes and doesn't even drink water. All the chickens attack her when I put her outside with them!!

I made a hospital cage for her and she has been healing but she's just traumatized.. she has been like this for about a week. She has lost so much weight and is going to die very quickly if she doesn't get over her PTSD.

Please help!!!!

She may be suffering from lingering effects of shock from the attack, and the symptoms often resemble illness and paralysis.

Try giving her some warm Gatoraid or warm sugar water with a pinch of salt. Get some Poultry Nutri-drench and dose her over the next few days with that for a quick infusion of nutrients.

What was the nature of her injury? Can you post a photo? Did you thoroughly wash and treat the wound with a topical antibiotic? If not, there's a chance the wound has become infected, especially if it was a bite wound. In that case, she will need an oral antibiotic.

I will post a picture of her.
I have Gatorade, I'll give it to her.

Bless you for being so helpful and kind. 😢😞♥♥
