Me and my family have been raising 2 young Kune Kune pigs up for meat. One of our Pigs Nelson, was screaming very loud yesterday, and when I went to check on him, his friend Bacon had gotten out and been hit by a car. She was already dead when I saw her.

Nelson acted very depressed the whole day and didn't eat his food (which is very strange for him). My father said he felt to bad to eat Nelson so he brought him inside and tried to get him to eat but he still hasn't. Is there anything we can do to help him? he is otherwise very healthy.

Update: I got him to eat a few strawberries but that's it

you should probably buy another pig for him. AFTER you let him grieve for about a week. some animals need to greive. just like humans. leave him in your house and provide a cozy place(you can use a box tipped on its side) and put blankets and pillows in the box for a place of comfort for him
