I found a roundworm in some chicken poop, oddly only one, no more! I went to TSC, and an employee there told me that this was the only dewormer safe to give my hens. This is my first go around with deworming chickens, so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!
.) how many pellets should I give each hen? Not sure of their exact weights, but I have a mixed flock of a Buff Orpington, Rhode Island Red, White Leghorn, Golden Comet, Americauna, Splash Olive Egger, and a possible Dominique mix. All are laying hen, 9 months old! Except the olive egger, she’s 6 months old.
.) how many days and how often do I deworm them for?
.) do I need to throw their eggs out, or can we still eat them?
.) is there anything I need to treat the ground and nesting areas with? They’re in a coop, not free-ranging (too many neighborhood dogs roam around!)
