Dilute/white Black Copper Marans

Hello! We purchased BCM hatching eggs this winter and had a little surprise at hatch...one was born white. We figured that she was a splash because that can happen, but now she is getting copper feathers, and is looking more lavender than white. Has anyone encountered this mutation? Will she continue to darken? I'll add photos, but it is hard to show the color of her feathers with her squirming. We aren't going to breed her, just wanted to add dark eggs to our basket. Will her eggs be lighter because she isn't black? I'd appreciate any thoughts on this gal!

Does she have white skin and feathered legs? How does she compare (besides color) to the rest of the hatch? I'm thinking she's an Oops, not a pure bred Marans. You could always ask the source of the eggs.

She has white skin, but no feathered legs. The rest of the chicks were regular old BCMs (black, feathered legs, etc), but were all roosters so we don't have them anymore. The source swears all of the breeds she has are kept separate, and since she only raises Polish, easter eggers, and BCMs, I doubt these are a mix.

That's weird, cause the feathered legs are dominant, and she doesn't even look to have stubs.

I guess it will be cool to raise her up and see what color eggs she lays.

She is just a recessive mess I guess haha. I'll definitely report back once eggs are being laid. She does have 1 black feather, so I guess she could be a splash with dominant copper leakage. I googled a million times trying to figure out this one, and found nothing.
