Hi-They worked for us until the chicks began climbing over the cardboard dividers. As long as the cardboard dividers are tall enough that the chicks will not be able to climb over them then they work well.
How tall were your dividers and how tall is the max height for your Brinsea Ovation 56 Ex?
I need to make up a divider that absolutely will not allow them to jump sections. I loaned my Brinsea Ovation 56 Ex to a school teacher for an embryology and STEM genetics project using my hatching eggs but forgot to measure the open area available at lockdown before taking it to her and won't be back until lockdown to drop off temporary brooders.
I was thinking of using large cross stitch type plastic grids made into boxes.
In my old styrofoam incubator I made 1/8" hardware cloth boxes which worked great but they are too tall for the Brinsea clearance.
Thanks for any ideas, especially with pics. I definitely need the open lockdown area measurements.
Thanks
