I need a little help trying to design an affordable Humidity Controller for my incubator.
I was thinking, have plastic container with a lid on it. Keep water in it and have a 12v computer fan to force air through a hole in the lid on one end. The air will travel over the surface of the water (picking up moisture) and escape at the opposite end and back into the incubator.
I can order a humidity sensor switch off eBay for under $3 and the fan for $1. I will power it with an old plug from a cell-phone with 12v output.
Any suggestion, or better ideas?

I just ordered this Atomizer/humidifer off eBay for $1.01 free shipping. I will test it. I believe it will be a lot simpler to use it to increase the humidity in the incubator. I guess it will be here in a month or so.

I use a small travel humidifier that uses a water bottle like this one. I connect a piece of plastic hose from the output to a hole in the incubator. The humidity is controlled using a digital humidity controller. Works great.

I tried to make one like this for my last hatch. Water droplets would form at the end of the tube (the side connected to the humidifier) and it would stop the flow. What size or kind of hose do you use?
