Do his legs look normal?

Hello! I have a new black maran rooster and noticed his legs have raised scales. Do you think he might have leg mites? I'm really hoping not

If it is, it's just starting as my chicken's legs got all white.

You could go into the coop tonight when he's roosting and slather his legs/feet with Vaseline, just in case. It won't hurt anything if it's not mites and will moisturize his legs.

Good to know! Thanks so much. His just look a lot different than all my hens. Will the Vaseline cure them?
